can anyone tell me whats going on with my hair?

in New Users

so I did a new render and on my genesis 8 females hair there's a bunch of bright almost glowing dots, primarily on the end of the hair. Can anyone tell me whats causing this? is it just a lighting issue? or is it something bigger in the surfacing like the glossyness?

Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

    Hard to say for sure without knowing the hair model, lighting and render settings, but it could be backscattering.

    If you select the hair and check in the surfaces tab to see if backscattering is on for the hair surfaces, dialling it to zero might fix the issue. Backscattering reacts badly to certain lighting. 
     

    If that doesn't help, more details would be useful.
