simple way to make everything in your scene invisible?

Simple question: if its possible how can you select everything in the scene tab to be invisible? rather than take ages going down the list of things in the scene and clicking the eye symbol. Is there a way? thx.

You can also Command-click the eye icon in the scene view for a parent object and all child items/bones will be hidden as well (presumably the windows-equiv shortcut would be ctrl-click).
