Looking for a couple of tools
Quick and easy question (I hope)
I have been watching a bunch of videos trying to learn as much as I can. The videos from Thundorn are very useful. In these videos I have seen a couple of things that the video doesn't
explain what tool they used.
In one video there was a pose with the model having hands on hip except the hands were not really touching the hip so the author of the video used a tool to move the hands to the hip.
There is a tool which the icon is a bone. I thought this was it but when I tried it, a bunch of bones moved. By the time, I got the hand to the hip, the model was leaning. Was this
the right tool and I did it wrong or is there another tool to use?
Another video showed a tool that when you click on the figure there is a circle at the bottom of the model where you can rotate the figure or move it on the Z axis or X axis. Don't
know what that is called but it is a circle with two arrows so you can move the figure. (I know that I can use the parmeters but this seems the easy way.) What tools do I use?
I think that I have clicked on my figure with every tools on the top but I can't seem to get that circle.
Thanks

Active pose. He probably pinned the arm at the top so that the trunk was unaffected - you can do that by selecting it and hitting space.
I hear you Wayne...
That is what is my biggest beef with some tutorials... Often, the Tut Author has been using the software for so long that they forget what a newbie is going through trying to learn. They tend to gloss over the very BASIC stuff, all the rewind/plays don't bring any clearity because you have no idea how they got to where they are, as they never mention it or showed what they clicked on.
That being said, a really good Tut-Author is Jay Versluis. He goes by WP Guru on youtube. I am not sure he has a specific posing tutorial, but his 101 series is definitely worth your time.

Another good tut guy is Parmy Baddhan. He generally makes tuts for beginners and intermediate folks that are fairly easy to follow. He has one on Advance Posing, and covers the 4 main ways to pose in Daz (Power Pose, Perameter Sliders, Active Pose & Puppeteer).

Worth a look, and best of luck!
Thanks for the help. I have several of WP Guru and Parmy Baddhan videos bookmarked. I really like the later because I have
learned a lot from him.
