Is there any indication they'll let you upload anything? All of these services I'm aware of are setup to let you buy games or connect your steam etc accounts only.

It's not a restricted area like Nvidia Geforce Now, according the video it's a Windows 10 where you can install any softwares that you want.
Customer Support should be able to provide an authoritative answer about whether it's allowed, but as long as your not distributing assets for others to use, I don't imagine there's a problem. This is a timeshare, so they'd probably kick you out if they detect automated stay-awake methods.
If it's only for rendering, you can also look into Jack Tomalin's server or nimbix, or something. Jack's render farm is cheaper by the month, and with nimbix you pay as you go for capacity used. In both cases you are uploading assets for rendering, but Daz doesn't have a problem with that, or else Jack wouldn't be doing it.

Correct - the data between the user and server is stored in a single cache file, so yea, it's not extractable and is deleted regularly anyway.. it's not the same as simply moving your content library to another users system.
$40/month is a lot for something where you have to break the rules to use at all. But its your money.
$40/month for a single Titan RTX.. I'm a little higher but for 4 x 2080Ti's.. (and 3 x 2080Ti's in the additioanl overspill/backup server).. not really apples to apples, but still, good to know.
Depending on what video games you want to play, Microsoft's cloud gaming service is an option. You'll be able to stream Xbox and PC games to PC, laptop, and even mobile devices with Android. They have a couple hundred games already, and all MS first party titles will be on it the day they release, along with a selection of 3rd parties. Wow, that sounds like an advertisement, LOL. There is also Nvidia's cloud streaming option. With this one, you stream the games you already own, but the games are streamed from higher end workstations. So you don't need a decent PC to play the games you buy, and of course the games are yours for whenever you do get a good PC. The catch is that the library of games that can be streamed may vary.
But if you are paying for multiple services, you could be saving up for a new PC. It might not be a 2080ti, or 4 of them, but you have full control of it. You don't need a super rad PC for gaming, either, or Daz for that matter. The GPU is the most important part. Ryzen has made finding a decent CPU trivial in 2020, unless you are trying to play at the absolute highest refresh rates there are tons of cheap CPUs that will get the job done. My i5 is showing its age, but it can hang in there. I do plan on building a new machine this fall or winter, and I don't expect to pay much more than $250 for a good CPU that will keep up with high end GPUs. GPUs are more of a bottleneck than CPUs are.
Building from used is always an option, too. All my GPUs have been used, including my 1080tis. I paid less than their market value, even right now used 1080tis are selling higher than I paid. I find that crazy, but I expect that to change after Ampere releases.

If that means you would have to upload your library to their server to use their services, that might be a problem with the EULA

I tested the Shadow cloud PC a year ago.
For gaming they are really nice, but for DAZ it's not optimal.

Okay but I can simulate mouse movements with a software.
My library size is 856 GB but there is a ton of freebies I will never use. If I only download what often use 1 TB will be enough.
Maybe something to clarify.
It could be a solution for the Linux/Android users.

Of course I didn't decide yet, the next subscription will be available in... December 2020
Note: Some users already use Adobe Photoshop and Blender with this Shadow service.

I don't think that a Cloud PC like Shadow is a real life issue with DAZ 3D.
It's basically a remote PC which you rent. So it's basically yours. Only you have access.
However, Jacks iRay server is a much better solution than Shadow for DAZ3D. Even if the offical iRay Server Software is a little bit instable

It was also for video games but okay. Where is the Jack's iRay Server please ?

Thank you very much !
But this service doesn't solve my problem because I still need to buy a new computer for the video games.
After one year of Shadow, I bought a new computer.
Works great for gaming but didn't convince me for DAZ.
