Yeah I am very grateful for Generation 4 and Genesis Content still being made today. I purchased the Battle Armour for Genesis set. Its one of the nicest Items I have in my runtime. A big thank you to SmokeyDemon and the rest of the artist that still support legacy content.

I still use M4 and V4 as my main figures. There is still a ton of great content being made for them today.

Is the Battle Armour for Genesis set  still available? I cannot find it anywhere. It and the Big cat armour look fantastic! I WANTS IT!

yup I use genesis a lot too for cross figure use in animations genesis monsters are the best for animation  . and working in animation I like that m4/v4 are compatible with poser and  genesis1 and 2 if you use DOSN most of the older generation mesh will render faster as well .

This is a example of a genesis character monster transformation  animation,  which would requires multiple cut scenes in a film editor to make the same type animations with genesis 8

    Hey Ivy

That's a very COOL animation! You did that in Poser? I use Carrara for my animation. Works like a champ!

You might not know this actor/director, but I think you might appreciate his work. His name is Paul Naschy & he is my favourite Werewolf.

Here is a trailer of one of his films...

Oh that is a good werewolf. I believe I have seen that movie  once upon a time.

the video I posted I actually made that in daz studio. using genesis1. with a combination of Freak 5 & Raws Lycaon the Werewolf  https://www.daz3d.com/lycaon-the-werewolf

I have carrara pro I got a few years ago at a march madness sale. and use it for modeling things.  I never could get the hang of it for animation.  I started making animation with poser many moons ago. & I just won a copy of poser 12 in a holiday contest .   but still i find daz studio results is more to my liking.. Ive been using daz so long that I have build up a huge library of assets & I have a great work flow for producing short films with daz. I find Iray renders the results that look best for the type animations i make & I have a whole lot of them that I have made over the 12 years of making animation.  I use  m4/v4 are main stays because they work best for people walking around in the back ground .  But I also use genesis1 thru 8 as well what ever fits the bill right..lol

This is my new animation I did using a mix of daz characters that is completely made and rendered in daz studio 4.12 with iray . it took 30 days from start to finsh .   The voices are all AI.  I use Microsoft Azure to create them.So far Azure has been the best Ai text to speech code on the market i have found.

This video is best viewed in 1080HD .. get some pop corn is 12 minutes long..lol

  • I still use M4 and Genesis (Gn, or G1) for most of my work.  I have all the others but only use them for special purposes.

Thanks for sharing that movie. I enjoyed it. I really like the lighting. I always had trouble with lighting, especially night time scenes.

Hard to believe that the viewership is so low on your movies.

I still love Gen 4 items. Wish they were easier to find in my runtime, but their proportions are way more realistic than some of the more recent models. This is especially noticeable with the men.

I've used M4 and V4 on book covers and promos. Heck, I'll use whoever fits the bill, I don't care what generation as long as they get the job done, LOL

  • you all realise this is a necrothread cheeky

it was raised from the dead by someone seeking Battle Armour which I have and is awesome but sadly cannot help the poster on that as it is gone.

Thanks I appreciate you watching.  As I explained I've been using daz studio for animation a long time & I learned a lot of tricks to speed up render times and how to make everything flow. I feel I still have a way to go. But generation 4 characters are much lighter on my computer resources so I like to use them as  my back ground actors and change out their skins and stuff with MattyManx texture resource saver.

I always thought my view counts were low because my animations sucked...lol

If you really want to add more background people to your scenes, you can use Predatrons LoRez characters. They are light on resources, but look good a distance.

I agree I have a few of Predatrons LoRez  characters the police and a few others I also use riversoftarts bill boards as well
