Commercial Use of Daz Content

Hello Forum,

Ten years ago I would have sworn I'd never make an animated film and thanks to Daz and iClone I'm three months into my first short project. I'd love a moderator or someone to confirm that we can use all items purchased on the Daz store with a "Standard License" for commercial 2D projects? Specifically if we are to make a film, TV show, web sereies and sell that product on our own website or via iTunes, Google...? If specific items are allowed and others not, how can we check what is ok to use commercially and what is not? To make myself 100% clear, I only am concerned with 2D repersentations, specifically video projects.

If anyone else has experience with doing a commercial project please share as well.

The only thing you can't use is an old Anna Marie Goddard model which is no longer available for purchase.  If you want an authoritative answer, either have your lawyer go over the standard license, or else put in a ticket.

Nothing you see on the forums should be considered legal advice.

Yes, with a limited exception for the Anne Marie goddard Digital Clone for Victoria 3, you can sell 2D rendered images - both still images and animations - as long as they are not competing with the original product (e.g. you might slap one of Ron's Photoshop brushes one a plane, render that - selling or giving away the resultant PNG would not be allowed since that could be used instead of the original brush).
