Genesis grey bodies, no flesh tone

Hi
Just downloaded 4.12 Pro -- I had an earlier version. When I load a genesis character--the first Genesis, Genesis 1--it's just the grey figure. Used to be, when I loaded a Genesis 1 character, he or she was not all grey -- or the "figure" was grey, but then one loaded the "character" -- such as "adult male" or "adult female", and the figure would gain flesh tones.. Anyone have a clue how I can get the flesh tones back? I have, among other things, "Genesis Starter Essentials."
Thanks very much for any assistance.

this might be a stupid question on my part, but is this in a render or the viewport ? and if its in the viewport have you made sure you are not set to the smooth shaded draw mode ?
Thank you for your reply. Yours is not a stupid question. There are some beginners using DS (compared to a lot of users, that's what I am), I was referring to a problem in viewport and yes, you are right, it was in shaded draw mode. It took me hours to figure out that was the problem. I was just coming on here to say I had solved it.
I rarely have switched between the different viewport modes in using Daz Studio, but I did so inadvertently yesterday and didn't even realize there was a smooth shaded mode where all is grey. Then noticed that "materials" where not loading. Meanwhile, I thought the problem I was having was to do with the new stuff I was downloading (DS 4.12) and wiht the Daz download methods I had not previously used (Daz Central), so I went on a goose chase till I happened to start clicking through the viewport modes.
Anyway, thanks again.
The number key will switch the draw styles so will zipping around in the program it is quite easy to accidently do. Also easy to collapse or close a pane.
