How do you export characters from DAZ to Vue XStream?

Hello, I just purchased a copy of E-On Vue XStream. As I learn this software, what is the best way to import characters into Vue? Will any of the materials become corrupted and if so, what is the best way to troubleshoot? Thanks!

I've only tried 'lesser' versions of Vue, but one with, at least, the 3DImport module. From what I can tell (despite all the blurb they give you) about the only half-decent way is to use Export/Import of .obj files and to give Collada a complete miss. You may need to juggle with some of the advanced options on the OBJ Export dialog (size, etc.,) but so long as you have collect maps set you should be pretty much ok. Be aware that EVERYTHING in the scene will be 'scooped up', but you can get round that by setting anything you don't want included to be invisible in DS and using the relevant check box in the export options.

    Hello!
I put together a short PDF tutorial some time back. You can find it here: http://www.sharecg.com/v/39743/view/3/PDF-Tutorial/DAZ-Studio-to-Vue
It is a bit out of date with respect to the interfaces, but still accurate for the most part.
In short: Use .OBJ for most things. Collada works well for simple models like animals and you can still pose them in Vue. There is a problem with all surfaces ending up set to 100% reflection, but that can easily be fixed in Vue (via edit all materials).
    Ciao

Thank you all very much! Still working out some issues with it, but I'm overall happy with the results! Great tip about the reflectivity as well! Thanks again. Cheers!
