Wait - the geometry editor doesn't work on geoshells?

Well, that's unfortunate - I was all ready to use the geoshell for a set of stockings, but the "leg"group was too tall and I wanted to reassign some polys - but no cursor for the geometry editor.

Why so? The geoshell could be a pretty powerful element in a scene, but it seems to be the redheaded stepchild of Studio - can't fit conforming items to it, can't edit it ... :(

a geoshell is just basically an "instance " of the underlying mesh

You'd probably use a texture for those stockings on the geoshell, too, right? So.. maybe use an opacity map with it?

Sorry if this is completely wrong.. I rarely use geoshell clothes in my renders angel

I thoroughly despise geoshells being used for clothes. They have their place in Daz, but not for clothes. I also really really wish decals would work on geoshells.

I prefer LIE myself as I export my content as FBX but one can reuse the same maps, a conversion script would be very handy

(aside note, with LIE always export the maps too because DAZ deletes the temp files afterwards)
