I dont know if this is the right section to ask this...but

I was wondering if getting a more expensive graphics card like the RTX series if it will make the render times faster.

At the moment i have a GTX 1070 

I ask this before i run and go purchase a brand new RTX card and then get dissapointed thats why i have to make sure if there will be an improvement in render speed.

depends on the rtx I would guess most of them would give you an improvement considering the newer iray is rtx optimised

I still have this page open so I can find the ideal setup I probably won't buy any time soon

from there you can see switching from a 1070 to a 2070 super would more than double your speed.
