Question about the 3D Connexion Space Navigator

I own two of these devices for my big PC and my Notebook. I cannot imagine working in a 3D app without this device. I also have a Space Mouse Pro at work.
However, in DAZ the use is limited to the control of the viewpoint, right?
Or is there a hotkey that allows the selected item in the scene to translated and rotated with the Space Navigator? Or, if a bodypart is selected, to twist, bend oder move side-side?
Thanks

Yeah just viewport. I have to say I don't use it any other way in other applications either.
It seems to have a lot more functionality in blender. Maybe some of the script gurus can tell, if it would be possible to enhance the functionality in Studio as well? I will ask mCasual.
Meh, IMO Blender implementation sucks Can never get it to work right.
Can anyone speak to how well it works in C4D?
Yes, you can. You just go to Edit -> Device Settings. There you have Orbit, Rotate, Transform. I use Transform from time to time.
See http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/dazstudio/reference/em_devicesettings
Not to necro a thread, but this was the best existing one I could find.
I saw where you can change the SpaceMouse function under the Device Settings, but does anyone know of a Hotkey that will do it. I'd really like to be able to use a keyboard or mouse bind to do this rather than digging through the menus.
Thanks.
I couldn't assign keybinds to these options so ended up recording macros to do it. They effectively open the correct menu item, tab to the appropriate option, select and close the window. I havea SpaceMouse Enterprise so have the three macros assigned to the top buttons but you could use a radial menu.
If using a mouse or keyboard instead then you'd use a different macro environment, eg autohotkey.
