Hi,

PLease see the screen shots,

A normal bikini was exported to Zbrush with goz,

then added studs to the trim with micromesh.

Brought back just the studs to DAZ3d with GOZ again.

with studs and bikini selected, exported them out of DAZ, and

then imported them back into daz as a new obj.

SO now the studs are reflecting as a part of the geometry of bikini.

After fitting the bikini if any poses are applied, the studs move out of place...

How can i fix this, as clothing was made in Marvelous and any other similar assets like chains or buckles be added through zbrush, how do we prevent it to give us this error...please some help , thanks a lot in advance

If I weld the studs to the trim, in Zbrush, i wont be able to use the metal iray shader on studs and different shader to the trim.

how to go about this, any suggestions please.

  • How did you rig the new version?

I just used transfer utility as a whole outfit without any templates and added smoothing ...thats all

  • My suspicion would be it's the way that the weights were projected onto the studs, since they are presumably well away from the original model vertices. What did you use as the source figure - the original clothing or the base Genesis figure?

GENESIS 8 FIGURE ...  I once exported fibermesh as fur around a gown from zbrush, but because it was spread quite wider than the studs, the displacement wasnt huge,

but these studs are causing this issue,

how do others do it, do they model everything in one software, so exporting anything from zbrush is a problem?
