I think I saw a fix for this in the forum somewhere.  Rose HD by FWSA (https://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-rose-hd-for-victoria-8) picture is overwritten by the picture for Rose (https://www.daz3d.com/rose-hd-and-expressions-for-genesis-8-female) in my content library,  The image for Cherubit show but when I hover the mouse the FWSA image shows.

Check that the figure hasn't been overwritten, too.

Well no, the characters are still located in their respective folders in the content library but on the character tab, there is only room for one Rose

obviously QA doesn't keep track of duplicate names in PA submissions blush

if you install one you could change the name on the duf and icon I guess then install the other one

    but not really the point

They should, but that still wouldn't eliminate overlap between assets sold by Daz and assets sold by other stores like Renderosity.  One thing you can do is install the files with Content Wizard, which allows you to rename your Smart Content as you install it.  Thing is, you don't normally realize the problem until afterwards.

well if one had been a Renderosity product it is more understandable

don't these people have a spreadsheet for their SKU lists?

But seriously.  They have a hard time making sure all their products have textures.

I don't think this has been fixed.  Also, the same problem is happening with Harper HD for Genesis 8 Female by Mousso and Harper for Genesis 8 Female Twiztedmetal.  The result is a monster and then Daz crashes. This I am reporting myself

  • This is the HUGE reason I add "DD" in front of characters I make. It's not a name vanity thing, it's a name separation thing, in case someone else uses the same name. There have been more than one time where I've submitted a char at or nearly the same time as another character with the same name and had to change names of everything.

I think I had two morphs with the same name once, and Daz Studio added a prefix of "(2)" to its parameter name.  Or maybe I had the same morph on two different drive paths, I don't know.  I never tracked the problem down.

Thank you for this. It also makes your stuff easier to find in content library

I've not tried it yet, but if you own Content Wizard for other reasons, you can change the Smart Content name of Daz products if you use that method to install them.  You lose the ability to easily uninstall them with DIM, but it's one way around this problem.

Anyway, it's not a problem that should have been allowed to happen in the first place.

That means that the dial is controlling both of them at the same time.

Yes, this is exactly what happened with Harper.
