Strange black crop on render

Is something wrong with my render settings? I have never experiences this before.

 

Would be grateful for any helpful suggestions

    Please give you figure some clothing - at least a pair of shorts.

    Someone else was seeing an issue like this, but I can't recall if they found a fix.
