Is there a way to make a dynamic sheet or dforce cloth fall sideways instead of up or down?

If I want to make it look like a wind blows a cloth sideways on a person, is there any not-overly-technical way to do that?

you can try to use the Dforce 'fan' or bend to side your character

I've been known to move the characters into various angles and let DForce 'drop' ... rendered images can be turned around ;-)
