DGV Vintage Signage - I want to make my own textures

Fantastic products!!

I would love to make my own wording on these signs.  I know to be IRAY, I must have the purple embossed texture and the black and white.

How do I make the purple embossed texture?

    One of them is a normal map (purple "embossed"); both Photoshop and Gimp (with a plugin ) will make those.  The second looks like a subsurface scattering map which you should be able to make in Photoshop or Gimp with just an adjustment of levels.

    You only really need the normal map, if you want it to look like things are popping in and out, like the letters are popped up for example. If you want it to just be a flat printed sign, you can skip them.

    Thank you so much!  I am very excited about trying these new suggestions!

    I get so excited about all of the things I want to do, that it's hard to stay on one idea!!  These signs are going to be for a Paris Cafe idea I have that I took from some dishes I used to own.

    I get ideas in the strangest ways!!!
