Hi, do you have to create an account to buy a gift card?

    If you can post here you have an account, to buy a gift card simply fill in the relevant details, to and from names & email addresses, if it's for yourself put your details in both sets of boxes, then add it to your cart, check out and pay. You should then receive an email with a link/code to redeem the gift card and turn it into store credit, however be aware that this does occasionally go wrong and you'll receive two emails, usually if this happens the second one is valid and the first one not.

    Note you can not pay for a gift cad with store credit.

    AFAIK you need to have a store account to buy a gift card. Forum accounts use different Software to store accounts.

    I hadn't realised that, joined ages ago and had accounts transferred between software versions so it's been a while since I set up my account, but in this case FantastArt is shown as a Platinum Club member in their profile so I assume has a store account in order to pay for that, but I could be wrong, the weirdness of online protocols and software options knows no bounds and is at times I think governed by an entirely different set of physical laws.

    I don't ask for myself. I have an account since 15 years now ;-) Just wonder how others could buy a gift gard for my birthday

    Sorry, misunderstood what you were after, they would need an account I think, I don't know of anyway to make a purchase on the site without one. It might be worth raising a ticket to see if anything could be done, or even a site feature request to allow 'guests' to purchase Gift Cards for members.

    Making an account doesn't require them to install Daz Studio.  I think it's just a matter of signing up with a name and an email address, like most online stores.   Buying a gift card requires both a sender and recipient name and and email address, anyway, so there's no reason not to make an account.
