Hi...Is it possible to zero a figure's position WITHOUT it snapping back to world center or 0,0,0? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most simple way is just lock X,Y,Z of current Actor root translation (and rotation). in parameter tab.
it work about each node too.

or you can use group or Null .

parent your Actor on zero point to the Null or group on zero point.

after that the Actor zero position(local) = current Null postion.
so that when you apply zero figure, it return current null position.

then translate Null or group , without using root node.

you can use the EDIT > "MEMORISE" > figure pose

you can place your charactere in the scene (using Alt)
adjust where you want to be the zero x,y,z, then use memory position,

at every reset pose your actor return the the saved memerise position and pose!

in case you want to use predefined pose swhere your actor move to another place of the scene (poses with GO TO)
the best use is to use "NEW GROUP" with parent all the scene and adjust X,Y,Z arround your actor!

in the scene tab, expand the whole figure by selecting it and going to the options menu and choosing expand from selection

Now highlight all but the root node. So the hip down

Go to the Parameter tab and choose zero selected itmes pose.

If the root node was rotated as well you will have to manually zero those but the figure will not move from where they are

Alternately, I do recommmend parenting the figure to a null and move the null to send the character somewhere in your scene so that they dont move back to zero when applying some poses.
