"Backlight - Hair Shaders for Iray" what are vertical UVs?

I wanna 'unify' the look of different hairs I have and https://www.daz3d.com/backlight--hair-shaders-for-iray- looks perfect for that job. Only one thing that worries me, it says that it only works with hair that uses vertical UVs. How and where can I see if a hair has vertical UVs?

Generally speaking, by looking at their texture images. If the hair is running up/down, it's vertical.
