Hi,

I created a coat in MD and brought it to Zbrush

Then fibermeshed all around the coat , made fur, merged the coat and fur and imported to Daz3d

Transfer Utility to Genesis 8 Female, source figure and target new updated clothing.

It fits perfect If only we refrain from hand lifting poses, then it tears apart near armpit area.

Please see images.

Like even if you brought in an armour would it tear apart near armpit, so tricky that specific area....please help me resolve this I like to create a lot, its just daz3d makes it so hard with these issues, gets demotivating so many times....

Any suggestions on how to fix this...please help...thanks in advance

You could just create the fur as SBH in daz, that way you wouldnt have to worry about them being incorrectly weighted during transfer utility.

You can edit influence/weight maps of different bones.

That could correct some of the parts of the fibermesh.

I guess after you do that, there could still be some weirdness which you might need to make corrective morphs for.  E.g., partial JCMs.

There are some weight mapping vids on Daz youtube channel - but they unlisted them, which is annoying as they are quite helpful.

Marvelous Designer is not the end of creating clothing for Daz.  You don't have enough geometry in the armpit.  You will need to create joint control morphs JCMs to allow for the garment to follow extreme movement.

This video will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

i did the jcm for the fur, it went crazy, it spread out like shattered pieces outside of the bounds of the whole figure....giving it a special visual effects, but a low poly kind..... coz the fur was made seperately < I tried bringing it into MD, oh everything fell on the ground as its not welded to the clothing. and obviously its to heavy for it to complete the simulation smoothly....

yes I do need to explore more ways of making clothing , thanks for the link, I learnt a  lot...cheers again

I think there are two separate issues - one with the fibermesh hair and another issue with the JCMs.

I think your fibermesh fur from zbrush ended up transferred to wrong bones.  So you can deal with that issue first.

Instead of using imported fibermesh on your garment, you could consider importing your simple garment (without fur) and use transfer utility on that.  Then make the hair in the Strand Based Hair (SBH) editor within Daz, rather than added in Zbrush.  That way you will simplify your imported garment.

Then you can deal with the inevitable JCM issue later.
