Hi :-)
I've been looking for threads talking about my problem but without success :-)
Has anyone ever had a problem animating V4 with Centurion ? .. I can't seem to keep her helmet on her head :-D
and no matter how I try to " magnetize " or to Parent the helmet , it keeps remaining in the same position when I'm animating Victoria 4.2 ...
Any suggestion ? ... :red:
Thank you very much in advance for any help :) :-)

The helmet's a prop, not a figure. Do you have V4 selected before you start adding the Centurion bits and pieces? If you do, the helmet should automatically parent to V4's head. If parenting manually doesn't seem to work, how are you doing it? One way that I'm fairly sure will always work no matter what is to drag the helmet thumbnail from the Content Library tab directly into the Viewport and on to V4's head; this invokes parenting whether or not anything in the scene is selected, and whether or not V4 is in the zero position.
Note that V4 is quite an old Poser-format figure, and automatic fit-to and parenting of clothes and props of the same vintage (Centurion is one of the early V4 items) sometimes behaves a bit weirdly in DAZ|Studio compared to the current Genesis and Genesis2 figures.
Thank you for the info , :) I've checked that the helmet is parented , I even tried to magnetize it .... the weird thing is that the arm plates behave like the helmet and the leg plates behave correctly and stick to were they belong  .... :-(
All I can think of now is to start afresh .... .. hoping that works ...
P.s. I know that V4 is " vintage " , but I have such a big library of stuff "vintage" ;-) not willing , yet , to thrash them :-)
:-D tnx
No need to trash them, everything does still work in the latest version of D|S, it's just that how things are supposed to work isn't quite the same from Generation 4 to Generation 5/6.
BTW, magnetising is a figure thing, I'm not sure if it's even possible on a prop like the helmet. Do you have "show filename extensions" in the Content tab switched on or off? Usually it doesn't matter whether something is a prop or a figure — it all loads the same — but in this case being able to tell a figure from a prop at a glance by seeing the filename extension is useful.
By "start afresh" do you mean delete and reinstall your V4 and/or the Centurion clothes? There's about a 95% chance that won't make any difference, because it's a solution for a problem that isn't the one you have.
You said the arm plates aren't fitting properly? Try this, select the arm plates after loading them, and look in the Parameters tab. Select the General subcategory, and look for the "Fit To" button. Does it indicate the arm plates are properly fitted to V4?
Double-check that you do have V4 selected before you try to load any of the clothes, if things aren't fitting-to properly, it's usually caused by the figure not being selected.
:-D Thank you very much , for the help :-) it works ... !! :D ... tnx
