God of the Sea Tentacles Props and Poses

God of the Sea

First, this looks great - Emma and Jordi have made something pretty interesting here.

But I do have a question: Are there plans to release additional texture packs, and will it be possible for other interested artists to offer new textures for the tentacles - specifically textures that include different coloring for the underside and suckers? The more or less solid coloring all over looks just a bit off to me. I'd also like to see some colorful variations of the topside of the octopus skin.

Anyway, my initial impression is quite positive - more denizens of the mythic seas are very welcome!

I do agree it looks a bit solid.

You can always try and create something yourself in photoshop/gimp.

You can simply use a texture and open that one up in photoshop, save it under a different name and use that one in your surface tab.
This way you have the structure correct of the texture. It will requier some skill in photoshop to do this though.

And I guess someone just HAS to ask this: do the tentacles work with anatomical elements? I guess not, because they'll disappear behing the geocraft (?) used for tentacling the figure, but one could hope, right? devil

I could definitely see a tempura texture working well here.

In my old school days of learning photomanipulation before I discovered the holy grail of the 3D world I made this figure. I have always wanted to recreate it in 3D. I cannot tell you some of the hilarious ways (looking back on my attempts) I had tried in order to make it...which varied from this: https://www.daz3d.com/otto-the-mad-octopus to this: https://www.daz3d.com/the-great-kraken . Thrilled to see this set in the shop today. (excuse the cheesy photo...I was young then and it was the 90s)

That looks awesome! That's something I would have aspired to do back when I was doing more photomanipulation than 3D art, and I would have been thrilled with that results. (I love the reflection in the water, by the way).

If you do a 3D version of this, I'd be curious to see the result. :-)

Ha ha, thank you. It did suffer the highest criticism at the time from the Ivory Tower of Photomanipulation Gods, but I poured my little eager heart and soul into it. I had to go to my deepest, darkest photoshop folder cellar to find it. But yeah, gonna take a stab at it and will definitely share.

God of the Sea + Aguja Undersea + Great White + Hammerhead

activates both the God of the Sea related items discount and the first three discounts of the Extra Savings Flash Sale. Makes for a nice sea-themed bundle for those who don't have the items.

I added Marilla to activate the last flash sale discount and make an "octo-gal with sharks" bundle. ;)

I would assume that the trident and crown are heavily inspired by a certain famous royal merman - so much so I updated a previous render of mine to use these props as far more fitting for the character than my original choices:
