How do I Export LAMH Animals to Use with Iray?

I'm wanting to use some critters with LAMH presets in Iray, and from what I understand I will have to make them objs first? I think? Could someone who knows fill me in on the details, please? I really want to get some furry cats and foxes in my renders!

From regular LAMH (3DL) you will see a "to OBJ" button on the Free Player (not sure how the full version works, plus it can also export Fibremesh hair). That obj can be imported into DAZ Studio and textured, but it cannot be posed and will not follow the critter's movements, so you have to make sure you have the final pose before exporting it.
All of Alessandro_AM's creatures have an Iray-ready Catalyzer version of the LAMH presets, but you will need to purchase the Catalyzer plugin to render with Iray. Well worth the time saved, especially when it's on sale.
Thanks, North! I got it figured out, but it's good to know I'm doing it right! You're always so helpful, I really appreciate it ^_^
Not only time but also memory. Exporting to .obj is so heavy that I've gotten to the point where I skip animals that don't have Catalyzer presets because they eat up just too many scene resources. So unfortunately for me, pretty much all the HiveWire animals are out. I wishwishwish AM would create Catalyzer presets for animals other than his own...I'd totally pay for them.
