VILLAGE BEDROOM ITEM QUESTION

Hello,

Just purchased [VILLAGE BEDROOM] this item and have a couple questions if anyone can help.

First, this item only shows up under "CONTENT LIBRARY.....PRODUCTS....and under V for the Village title.

I am curious why it won't show up under something more appropriate like Scenes, Props or Environments like similar items do.

Second, the room consists of many different items when I bring in the entire Product. However, I cannot bring in multiples of any of these separate items like I can typical Props. For example, I cannot go into the list of items and bring in just another bed or chair. I would have to bring in the entire room again and take out the items I don't want to use.

I bought this on sale and I really like it so this is not a complaint. As a new user though, I want to make sure I understand how things should work or what I need to do to do it correctly. Is there something different about this item, not sure how old it is, did it not import correctly or do i need to do something different to have it work like other items.

Again, if this is just how this works, I am ok with that.

Thanks,  DJ

It is located wherever the vendor decided to put it, in this case Environments -> Soulless Empathy -> Village Bedroom. You can see that from the product package (open the zip), or open the info pane at the bottom of the Product view and check the file's path. There is no hard and fast rule, so products get scattered in all sorts of places, not always obvious.

As to adding extra props, you can duplicate an existing one in the scene. Select it and, from  the Menu -> Edit -> Duplicate -> Duplicate Node(s) or Duplicate Node Hierarchies. That does one copy at a time. You can create Node Instances (clones) if you need a lot of them. You can duplicate multiple nodes at a time. Node hierarchies are nodes (objects or figures) that have other nodes parented to them, like a table with dishes or candles or pots on it.

  • Ok. Everything you described worked fine and is pretty straightforward. Thanks for the help. DJ.
