The store software is supposed to be getting overhauled soon®, so hopefully we will see some improvements after that.

Thank Goodness!... Any update on when?

The overhaul has already started.  No ETA on any improvements that would make it even as good as it was before the overhaul started.

What do you mean? Official Daz people have declared victory on the Store Issues and sales issues pages.

    No, they haven't.

"On a more positive note, unlike the doom and gloom that gets echoed through the forums the new store is actually performing quite well, sales are up and sales support tickets are down. For the first time in nearly a decade the store went through the entirety of black friday without any downtime.https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/447446/store-issues-known-problems-please-read/p65

The second certainly isn't claiming victory, and even the first isn't denying that there are still issues (which may well be big for thsoe affected but are not affecting a great swathe of users).

Please avoid hyperbole, it helps no one.

If support tickets are down, why is support taking so long?

Backlog? I assume Daz Rawb meant new tickets, not the total number. Also, the US has just had a two day holiday.

Well on the forum pages, if you scroll down, then the top menu with the DAZ logo and link to the shop will scroll away. But the menu bar with the forum links stays there. It would be nice if they both stayed there so I didn't have to return to the top of the page to click on the Shop link.

What I'd like to see improved is:

    • Searching the Product Library (and to an extent, DIM too), and being able to search products by PA's name. Products get removed from the store and PA's leave, but what you've bought is in your Product Library for as long as the store is running. (I don't use DAZ Central or DAZ Connect, but I don't think these can do this either.)
    • Separating the "Compatible Software" category. It's become so cluttered that it's become difficult for me to read. I'd prefer it was split into in-app software like dForce, apps where it can be accessed natively like DS or Poser, and for the bridges to be their own category.
    • Mentioning the download file size in the Product Description. Often times, the download size is often huge because of unoptimized textures. (Specifically, items that have multiple hi-res .TIFF or .PNG maps per material zone. Too many maps load at once and it slows things down.) Sure I can look at the number of textures listed but that isn't necessarily a good indicator of how big the product is.

Fixing the filter order for figures would be good. I'm pretty sure it used to have more relevent figures (genesis 3/8 m/f) near the top, but since the new store the order is different. As it is, Gensis 8 female appears 7th, Genesis 3 male appears 6th, and Genesis 8 male/3 female don't appear on the default list at all (but things like D3 and Millenium Children do). Also. The "N/A" figure seems to have been unapplied to basically everything, which makes finding enviroments harder.

A second vote too for category filtering. It's really annoying scrolling through 17000 texure packs for hair. If possible greater use of tags too. Use of Smart Content style categories, like "dress" or "footwear" would be a bonus, and they should in theory kind of have that information from the metadata (it would also maybe help fix metadata issues early).

Also search within results. So you can open a sales category and look for something specific. Which would be easier then adding it to wishlist, or scrolling to the bottom and Ctrl F-ing ( surprise ).

A way to exclude pose sets (or anything else for that matter) would be much appreciated. I never buy readymade poses and hate to wade through pages and pages of pose sets trying to find a hair or outfit. Frankly I made an attempt to find something useful among the loyalty stuff but gave up, can't be bothered.

Oh btw, getting back the ability to close those banners would be cool too, find them very distracting...

  • Maybe a good start would be being able to process orders.

  • Achange to the filter options would be great. E.g. instead of filtereing by figure I want to see, filtering out what I do NOT want to see.

Example: If I am filtering for genesis 8 male / female, I will also loose anything that is purely props or environment. Instead, I would like to see anything that is NOT genesis 1, 2, 3, V4, etc.

Like Renderosity, move all the wishlist items to the cart instead of adding them one by one.

In that same vein, exclusively showing the addons available for a particular product

...leave enough "whitespace" in the side margins on the store phone app so it is easier to scroll down and up. Sometimes there is almost no room between the product thumbnail and the edge of the screen which can cause one to inadvertently open that product page by mistake.

Being stuck having to use the phone because my system is down has been an exasperating experience to say the least. Often times I would find I accidentally opened a product description, have to back out, and wait for the store page I was on to refresh. In the case of the current sale, a page refresh could take some time, after which I would sometimes find I needed to scroll back to where I was at.

This wastes a lot of time and makes the task of shopping more of a frustrating chore than a pleasant experience.
