SPECIFYING CHARACTER HEIGHT

Hello,

I have another question related to creating characters whether from the standard Genesis 8 or starting from a purchased character. I have a situation where specific characters/races will have some unusual height specifications related to who/what they are. I have a female around 6'4" and another male just under 7' or so as examples.

I have seen a product for measuring height but how do I specify a height to the character so they are always taller as they should be relative to other more standard characters whenever I use them? I have seen where scaling is a possibility but that really makes the whole character just bigger all around and I am looking more for a height specifically and one that will look normal so that all the height isn't presented in the legs and the torso and such are out of sync.

Thanks,

DJ.

The Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs and Genesis 8 Male Body Morphs packages have a Height slider that scales the body vertically, if you have those packages. The head remains unchanged, as do the lateral dimensions of the figure. The latter may or may not yield the results that you are looking for, as increasing the height will tend to make the character appear thinner, while decreasing the height will make the character appear stockier, so further adjustment of the proportions may still be required. You can use a height guide loaded into the scene to get specific heights when used with the slider - there are several types available for free.

Measure metrics is the product that allows you to measure height, but also circumfence and length of individual parts. A cheap alternative is to create a primitive which allows you to set a height in meters (and presumably feet if thats your programs setting)
