Studio content directly?

What are the odds that a Blender add-on, even if not free, might become available for Blender to read Studio content directly? What about one for Poser content?

They've published an API that anyone could do that including Poser way back but no one seems interested using the SDK. It's quite volumious I guess.
It's not a perfect solution, but have you looked through the items in the store that are available in Blender format?

While the DSON spec is pretty straightforward and perhaps the only thing in the Daz Studio ecosystem that is adequately documented, the problem that any such plugin will encounter is that not all useful data is persisted in the .duf file. Some things are computed by Daz Studio at runtime and Blender would not have access to these.
But I'm pretty sure all the information for an un-rigged object is in there, i.e. the geometry, and vertex and material groups. I believe animation and dForce data is present as well, but I didn't try parsing it.
I think this would be an excelent example of something that a guy from guru.com or fiverr.com could be paid to develop a basic plugin for Blender... if there are more people interested in pooling the money, I would think a couple hundred bucks would be sufficient, and both of those sites are pretty risk-free.
