You have to buy a new release first. Is it just me, or is that a bit naughty? Or perhaps just badly worded.

You just get 5 items for less than what they would be, Daz have done similar in the past.. Anyway must be me going through one of those phases I suppose, but going through the Genesis 3 items on offer is not exciting to me right now..
Well, G3 has been out for a while, and a lot of us have already picked through it many times. For new users, it's an opportunity to pick up some great items for 3 bucks a piece.
Yeah, I guess you're right. I saw the banner declaring a 'blow out sale', but when I clicked on it was presented with a bunch of new releases, one or more of which have to be purchased to qualify for the sale. It just seemed a bit dodgy to me.
And speaking of new releases, am I the only one to have found many of this month's offerings a little uninspiring? The end of the month is fast approaching, and I still have enough money left to buy dog food. My spending is way down this month. (I'm not taking a shot at anybody, I imagine Daz have been hit as hard by Covid-19 as any other business, It's just an observation/opinion).
True for new users it would be good, does make it hard for the rest of us though.. lol
Naughty ? Don't worry about it, you'll soon understand how Daz marketing works 'sales' around here.
Actually it was nice to see a new item I actually wanted to buy, P3D Paige HD, so I picked up some Genesis 3 hair as well. Although as somebody said earlier the Genesis 3 items have been picked over many times before.

For me, the offer contains a few outfits without high heels, I do like.
Note, that condition for the sale says "any New Release", not just one of today's new items. That means a much wider selection, with some items on my Wishlist already.

I didn't know that. For how long is a release still considered 'new'? I might be missing something here.
Indeed it worked with a PC+ item for me, so I got a few kitbashable items I wouldn't have otherwise bought where I liked a part of an outfit.
Do not worry about saving money this month ... the annual PA and PC+ sales are coming soon. That should give you a chance to spend it.
What I find more interesting is how all of the Genesis 3 sale items are showing as $12 , which varies the discount % from say 8% to over 50% depending on the item... That price should drop to $2.99 with prereq item in cart of course, but it's the $12 thing that amuses me...
I'm 'meh' about this sale, as I was about the Asian sale, and like others am holding out for the PC+ sale and associated PC+ for a day, assuming that's a thing again this next time around...
For quite some time. Open the shop and scroll down. Anything with the green "New" label in the corner counts. Mind, that your Wishlist does not show that label.
I didn't even buy anything for Genesis 3, haha. Some Fugazi1968 & Ironman13 environments are mixed in. Two of them were on my wishlist, so I added a few more and called it a day.
I have two items from G3 era in my wishlist; there is nothing new I'm both sufficiently interested in and happy to pay the price for.
There is always another sale.
Products are considered "new" for 60 days, any product that has a green "new" banner on it in the category listings. So, anything released over the past 60 days will qualify as new for today's G3 sale.
yeah, sometimes you read a banner and their is hope it's actually a blowout sale, LOL. As pointed out, it's a great deal for new users, since most old timers have what they need already. it shows 20 items in the sales category for me, LOL
I have to confess that I am slightly interested.
Nothing of the 'new' stuff is of the slightest interest, so that cost would have to be divided over the G3 items I am interested in. Having got the G3F to G8F conversion script by RiverSoftArt, it makes G3 figures useful. There are a few - I know the FWSA figures are stylised, but they do look reasonable, and for $4.50 each (amortising the unwanted new item over the things I do want) makes it marginally interesting, and having transferred the shape to G8F, the clothes, poses and shaping morphs will work too.
Hmm. I shall cogitate, and if I do so for long enough, the sale will end and I won't have to check my budget.
Oh, and I already have one of the 1052 items in the sale.

If happen to be PC+, you could always simply choose a New item that sells for like 2.99. There are bound to be some non-PC+ New items that are really inexpensive in the shop too.
If you don't want the "qualifying" item, make it cost the least you can.
An item is "new" for 60 days after release. Not sure if it is two months to the anniversary day (could be 59 to 62 days depending on which months are spanned), but it will show that green "NEW!" flash in the upper right corner of the store link and main product promo.
Oh, I want my qualifying New item... the G8F Corsair fashion outfit. Gotta support new conforming outfits in this dforce era, and this one could fit a variety of genres and concepts.

Occasionally they'll forget to add the minimum price constraint for new items as well and you can qualify with the PC+ freebie.
Although there have been a handful of sales over the last couple of years where it was deliberate.
At least, we were fairly sure at the time it was deliberate...
This sale is nice for me, being a newbie - I picked up some i13 sets and G3 morphs at good prices. There were several new items that I wanted but which didn't have interesting daily sales on release, so it was easy to activate the discounts.
The only bummer is that I mistakenly added "i13 Private Jet and Poses" to my cart instead of "i13 Jet Bundle" - I bought the bundle on the next round and emailed support, so fingers crossed for a refund without mucking up the bundle (since it includes the first item... has me a bit worried that it'll end up a mess).
It's a bit odd that both the individual items and the bundle were included in the sale - it's the same for price for the bundle as it would be to buy either individual product.
oh there were a lot of bundles in there especially from ironman13 and they're pretty good think she does good stuff. Interestingly there was also seperates of the content from the bundles listed too so you had to really look to make sure you didn't miss out on the better deal getting the bundles. But as usual I took my time and strangely this deal is already over usually you get couple days or more but everything in cart jumped to $12 each instead of $2.99 oh well. Still I am thinking at least buying the nexy sexy skinz product these are great to use when you need some undergarments under other clothing especially if revealing and don't want it too revealing for some images and you can't fit other clothing without collision or screwing up dform clothing clashing
yep got some goodies yeah you really really gotta pay attention sometimes nearly picked some content instead of the bundle version which was also offered few times. Hope you have luck that happened to at least once before too bought a rerelease of a product already had had no luck
I grabbed three things and a new PC+ today, not a bad little grab for under $10
This sale doesn't stack with the PC+ coupons (Cris confirmed in Always Another Sale thread) and I bet the G2 & older sale that dropped today doesn't either. So holding off on this one & if it's still up come payday I might get the cart then. I didn't have any trouble finding G3 items I wanted since that's my primary generation. However, I probably won't find much in the 4/G/G2 sale unless environmental or some of the G2-based creatures are included.
