Content Library has Disappeared! HELP!

I opened DAZ Studio 4.6 today to compose a new scene, and loaded V4.2 into the scene via Smart Content. I then went to the Content Library pane, and was trying to navigate to the Poser Formats Directory where I have the clothing and other files I want to use for the figure. As I was navigating, a sudden incident distracted and startled me, and I clicked one of the mouse buttons unintentionally. My Content Library completely disappeared! Not the pane itself, but all the directories. The DAZ Studio Formats, Poser Formats, Other Formats, etc. all gone. The only files I can access now are in the Smart Content pane! It's like that one mistaken click has removed the directories from DAZ Studio altogether.
I recently switched over to the PostgreSQL CMS, and uninstalled the Valentina CMS. Everything was working perfectly. That one click did something, and I have no idea what it did. I am trying to figure how to restore the Content Library. I never would have thought that a single click could have such a devastating effect!
So what I am asking for here is advice on what I should do. There is an option in Preferences that allows a person to return DAZ Studio to the Default state as it was when It was first installed. But that option might make it necessary to re-install everything I have in my Content Library, a very lengthy and tedious process that I really don't want to have to do. I tried adding the directories to allow DAZ Studio access to the locations on my hard drive, but it seems that is not working. but I have not yet restarted my PC, and that may be what is needed for the files to be enabled. I will try that, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope on it.
If anybody here knows what the problem is and what is needed to fix it, please advise me! This has put a stop on my schedule!

So from what I understand you might have removed all base directories or runtimes?
Check under Edit>Preferences
And in the Preferences window click on the Content Library tab and under that tab at the very bottom you will see a big button called Content Directory Manager. Check to see if you have your Runtimes under there, if not add them again.
That's the only thing I can think of. If it isn't that someone else will come around and help you. But try that and see what you find. If it's empty that might be your issue.
Thanks for your response. That is my own thoughts as well, though I was trying a different route to fix it. So far nothing has worked. I will try your suggestion and we shall see.
OK, I finally figured it out! What had happened was that I somehow clicked in the exact place where the directories can be hidden or shown. I was looking for that little bar that must be clicked to get it to show again but it was hard to find. This is possibly due to the color scheme I have setup for my interface. I'm still looking for a scheme that works in a way that everything shows by contrast. I finally found it and clicked it and the directories are all showing again.
When I checked the Content Directory Manager, it showed that all of my directories are mapped. That was what was baffling me because if it was showing them as already added, I wondered why I could not see them in the Content Library pane. So I slowed my mouse movement down to get the cursor to move slowly around the pane and see what appeared as I moved the cursor over different parts of it. The tiny bar that expands or collapses a section of the pane finally flashed and I went to where I saw it and clicked on it. The directories then reappeared.
My alarm was due to not knowing what had caused the problem. Your advice helped me to narrow it down, and find what was wrong. I really do not understand why DAZ Studio would have an expand/collapse bar for that part of a pane. It can cause a lot of trouble if you don't know why your directories are not showing.
Again, thank you for your help.

Cool. And at least nothing drastic was really the cause of your misadventure. :-)
I'm glad about that! The alternatives would have been terrible!
