Daz To Blender Bridge; No Way To Import Older Models?!

The majority of character I've created are V4 to M4 on down; the reasons I've yet to update these characters is basically lack of costume preferences, the inability to convert their textures to the newer models, and the like. So while the Daz to Blender bridge is nice, it's all but useless to me as it won't let me import older models to Blender; it insists that the model must be Genesis 3 or 8.
So yeah. Beyond frustrating. I don't suppose there will be a workaround in the future, will there?

I haven't tried V4 and the like yet, but I have moved older environments into Blender using Diffeomorphic (http://diffeomorphic.blogspot.com/).
I transfer textures using Blacksmith Pro from Renderosity. The product available in Studio "bodges" them using something to hide the parts the textures don't cover; I never tried it as I wanted to actually transfer the texture.
I have moved a lot of older generation characters - and still occasionally buy them knowing I can transfer.
Just looked at that software. That ain't cheap.
Nope; they do have it on offer occasionally.
There used to be Texture Transformer; no idea if they still do that.
I did some experiments with V3 and V4 using Diffeomorphic, no dice. FBX sort of works.
I transferred the A3 shape to G8 (using G1's A3 shape) to G3 with Gen X2 and then to G8 with XTransfer. (For anyone curious, I don't know where the Aiko 3 came from, but was available as a slider when loading G1.)
I used a normal skin texture as A3 didn't use styised just a normal one without any obviously distinguishing characteristics as there was no even fairly simple way to transfer it; I seem to recall posting the results somewhere.
If I wanted a shape, I would transfer it (as I did above) and then use G8; I tried a G3 a couple of days ago out of curiosity, and find some bends better on G8.
I did an experiment with a base V4 and the RSSY 3Delight to Iray Converter script. Thought V4 looked better in Iray after conversion, importing into Blender via Diffeomorphic produced several errors and only the bones appeared. It does feel like its half the battle, so if the materials would come across, that would be awesome.
I did get V5 Supermodel to ride along though. Here's a quite test Cycles render.
