What happened to the Poser installers??????

As I am a Poser user and almost exclusively buy Poser compatible content here - what happened to the Poser download files?

Even Poser only light sets lost their Poser download files.

I am thourougly confused here.

DAZ embraces loads of other 3D packages but abandons Poser completely? Even its older, compatible items?

That's weird. I just checked some of my old purchases and the Poser downloads aren't available either.

Listening to the chatter on the forums, I think it may be a database issue at Daz, not that they purposely took them away.

A couple of mods and actual Daz employees have said they're working on the store. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/5829301/#Comment_5829301

There's a current PC+ sale going on with old RDNA items still claiming to have Poser Installers. Just bought a few. Think one should deliver what is advertised.

Are you sure the poser installers aren't there? it's not labeled too well anymore, because it all says Daz installer, and then in tiny print "Ps" under it

see the highlighted part, it's got in the smaller text, "Jungle Vines Ps" that's the regular Poser runtime folder of stuff.

I do really miss the older product page and hope they bring it back- it had a slew of useful information and details.

I had the same thing with the Monshine Cinema Projection Building. The Poser installer says Daz Studio, you can only tell it's the Poser one by the Ps on the end of the filename.

Probabably just an error in the redesign of the page. I think I'll put in a support ticket to tell them.

It's very confusing the way it is now.

Especially for some products that used to have a single generic Poser/DAZ installer and now appear to be DAZ Studio only.

But good, at least the Poser installers still seem to be there, however well hidden and obscured....

The Daz3D interface and web design team seems to forget that there are some of us on smaller monitors or with less than ideal eyesight that struggle with such things as dark grey text on a lighter grey background, and tiny fonts.

I download everything on the product pages anyways, including those recently added Maya, etc. files that I'll probably never use, just on the off chance that I might want them someday.  That being said, yeah that subtext size in the lighter grey font is easy to miss.

Yeah, I see it on some products, but not others - especially V4 era products that definitely should have Poser files. Again, I don't think it's a big Daz-spicracy but just issues they're having with the store upgrade.

Most products from V4 era only have poser files, or have a single install file for both poser and DS. In that case the file wasn't  labeled "ps".
The poser files are definitely still there, just not marked as such.

That just links to a single page article on how some people have issues with Amazon Pay, says nothing at all about missing installers. At least, nowhere that I could see. Then again, I am one of those folks with barely-there eyesight so it's quite easy to miss things.

And in some cases, like V3, you have to download the file and unzip it to find out it's in fact Poser.

But at least we have a nice big advert on every page reminding us of Daz Central. Who needs actual useful information anyway?

I may have posted it wrong. Anyway it's a comment from DAZ_Rawb saying they're working on the new store software. Last comment in the thread.

Well, hopefully that'll sort it. Probably not in time for the current sale, though. Was interested in some of the Runtime DNA stuff -- although in some cases required products aren't even listed, like the Notorious outfit for M4 which is nowhere in sight, but now there are Paypal issues too. And it would happen on a weekend. :sigh:

I posted a message about this problem last night. It was totally ignored. Yes, some Poser files are hidden under the DAZ Studio heading. Others might be there, but without any indication of what they actually are.
