Poser, Daz & Maya

Hey Ya'll,
I'm posting this here as it seemed most appropriate...if it should go elsewhere, lemme know. Likewise, I have done some rather extensive searches on the internet, but have yet to get even close to what I need.

Ok...short version; I need to get a model created in Poser (2010 Pro) into Maya 2013. At some point I would like to do this with a few Poser animations as well, but for now I just need to get the Poser model into Maya.

Long version; I've created a hypostyle Egyptian temple (loosely based on the Temple of Isis at Philae) in Maya and I need to get the model of Isis that I created in Poser into the temple for some renders (and eventually an animation for a commercial for another software package I've created...Book of the Dead Font & Clip Art Pack). I'm trying to use Daz (among other programs) as a walk thru to do this. Exporting directly from Poser to Maya seems...well...impossible. I've tried using OBJ's, but somewhere along the chain, the face always get's messed up...particularly stuff like eye lids (which get turned inside out!). Daz seems to open the Poser models well enough....BUT...it doesn't seem to be opening/importing many of the adjustments I've made to the model's face in Poser and the dress I've created for her is likewise pretty screwed up once I open it in Daz. I can work around the issues with the dress for the moment, but the distortions to the model's face are a serious problem. Basically same thing that happened when I tried to walk an OBJ thru 3ds Max.

Which ever route I go here, ultimately it appears that I need to somehow get the Poser model into an FBX format for import into Maya.

I'm -guessing- that I may need to do something to the model while still in Poser to better prepare it for export, but danged if I know what. My actual training is in Maya (which excluded human character creation, hence the need for Poser/Daz), so I'm kind of learning Poser and Daz here on the fly.

I suspect someone somewhere has had to of run into similar problems, so please know that I'm grateful for any help!

Thanks!
Jim
