So there seem to be a lot of questions/complaints about today's coupon.

Let me help you break it down.

1. You don't have to buy anything specific to unlock the coupon.

2. It won't work if you have more than four qualifying items in your cart (even if some of those items are free via another offer).

3. It works on anything. New releases, Fast Grab, PC+ items - all of it.

Did you get that last part? Great, we can stop now - this coupon is very good. It's an extra 20% discount for any four items on your wishlist, and there's no buy-in cost.

Stop trying to combine it with today's other offers and you'll see that it's pretty nice.

    5. Make sure to include a gift card in your purchase (and that does count towards the 4 items limit), and effectively, you'll carry that discount over to anything you buy with the credit from that gift card.

    Ordinarily that's true, but when you consider that it stacks with other sales (say, 50% off featured PA stores), it can be a nice bonus. The coupon also works on new, Fast Grab and PC+, while most other coupons don't.

    20% off a gift card is a good deal.

    An extra 20% off you can combine with other offers is a good deal. OK, if you want to use the "free HD add-on / free DO" offers you can ony get the 20% extra on 2 items and not 4. But that's still a good offer.

    I think this sale worked for me.  I stacked it with a few Fast Grab items (sharks and dinosaurs, oh my!) and a gift card for myself.  I try to budget my Daz3D purchases through gift cards to myself.  I have a monthly budget and it is very rare that I exceed it.  A recent exception was when JoeQuick came out with that Teddy Bear for G8M after I had already spent my monthly budget.  Curse my weakness - but Joe is so dang original!

    I would say it is good to stack with Fast Grab, PC+ and Gift Cards as those are the usual exceptions. But for stacking with a 50% is not that much, it just turns it to 60%. 60% is not rare at all in this store for PA items without requiring any coupon.

    I'm actually very disappointed with the 40%(50% with 2+) featured artist discount. I thought 60% would be the starting point of this sale.

    The debut realease discount is good, even without the free items so it makes the discount for "older" items look bad.

    RE: gift cards to self, in case a few people are unaware

    You can redeem gift cards to yourself and convert them to store credit.  Purchase the gift card and make yourself the sender and the recipient.  Check your emails for the gift card code.  In your account settings, click the redeem gift card option.  Copy and paste the gift card code.  Enter.  Then check your store credit balance.  The gift card should be transferred to store credit and then used like any other store credit.

     

    EDIT:  of course, you can also convert gift cards that others gift to you.  same procedure.  yes

    Decided to use use today's coupon with a debut new realease, 2 freebies, and a fast grab item. Yes, the 20% are "wasted" on the free items... but as folks have mentioned, 20% itself is not that much but it stacks nicely with the other discounts. And I'm currently not in need of more store credit. It's the combination that makes the most sense for me.

    Discount was the same last year IIRC.

    Thanks to OP for noting that there was no purchase requirement for the coupon. I would have missed that. I did end up buying four items, after much deliberation. With stacking, it wasn't a steal, but it was a good value.
