Accessing fonts in Hexagon

I've been use Daz studio to create title graphics for a little animation project of mine and I'm having a problem accessing my fonts as the list of fonts scrolls off the bottom of the screen and Hexagon doesn't appear to have a way to scroll down the list. How do I get at the rest of my fonts when I can barely even access just the As.

  • Hmmm .... I had not noticed this before ... but if the 'Text Properties' box is at the top of the screen, the selection menu pops out below and has no arrow controls. HOWEVER, if you move the 'Text Properties' box to the bottom of the screen, then the resulting selection menu pops out above and has up and down arrows for scrolling. Odd, but it works that way on mine. Hope that helps.

  • THANK YOU! Yes that solved the problem on mine too. Feels weird since Windows has always conditioned us to work from top down and not bottom up, but if it works it works.

Actually, it does. Set Hexagon to fullscreen and you'll get the controls and both the top and the bottom of the list without having to move the box. The problem lies with the Windows toolbar. When hexagon is windowed the program doesn't take the bar into account when calculating how far down to extend the displayed font list, so it is hidden behind the toolbar and cannot be accessed.

  • I notice too that despite my telling Hex to always open in full screen mode it always opens in window mode and when I go into full screen the toolbar at the bottom of Hexagon gets all messed up until I minimize it and restore it. It's just one of those annoying rituals of working with Hexagon that I've just gotten used to over the years.
