environment sun sky only streaks?

Hello, i have had this issue come up more than once. Only when i render in "sun sky only" does this streaking occur. It seems to be in the shadows only and trying to rerender it doesnt help.I then have to render in scene and dome mode but sun sky only looks nice to me. The streaks never occur in scene or dome mode. Does anyone know what causes this? I have also tried removing objects that cause shadows and that doesnt seem to help either. thanks
