Newbie Questions about HDRI Bundles.

I've been poking around in the store looking for ideas for future projects and I keep seeing bundles of HDRI. Inside it lists a number of scenes. For example, if you look at HDRI Bundle 1 (https://www.daz3d.com/hdri-collection-1), it lists scenes for "Basement," "Empty horror mansion," "Empty police station," etc. Does it include all the assets to build those scenes, or is it just a bundle of lighting (and texture?) settings that would be ideal for those settings and you need to find the assets to build those elsewhere? Just trying to learn what I'd be getting into before buying something. Thanks.

An HDRI is a 360° image that also provides lighting. There's nothing in those bundles except the images.

HDRI's are background images that also light the scene.

For example, if you apply a "basement" HDRI your character will look as if they're standing in the middle of that basement, and they will be lit appropriately.

HDRI images are spherical, so you can move the camera around and the background will (almost) always look right. You don't have to worry about perspective.

The basement is still just an image though, so your character can't interact with it (open a door, sit at a table, etc.)

You most likely already have some HDRI's installed that came for free with the base program: DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments. You can find them at /Light Presets/Iray HDR Outdoor Environments/

Load them to see how they work and what their benefits and limits are.
