Smart Content for G8F Gone

The smart content when Ihave G8F selected and "filter by context" checked now has only a handful of categories with a product or two in each. That a tiny fraction of what it showed like an hour ago. The catch is that if I uncheck 'filter by context' it's all still there, just seems like somehow it's no longer linking it to G8F.  Does anyone know what gives and what I can do?   I've been rebuilding my content library from scratch and was finally done and now this happens.  If I have to redo the smart content I'll probably just forget it and spend the time reorganizaing my producut library folder structure which is what I've done for years. But I'd prefer to get my smart content working properly again.  Any ideas?

    Hmm, I was just coming here to ask the same question. I recently used to DIM to uninstall most of my content and then used it (DIM) to reinstall  the content on an external drive. Now very little shows up in the smart content for G8F. I checked smart content for G7f and G8M and they both seem to working properly.

    Please help. How can I get the smart content for G8F back?

     

    ETA: Before anyone asks, NO, I haven't ever downloaded or installed DAZ Central. So, that isn't what is causing the problem.

    I've had something similar happen in the past with Genesis 2.  Try uninstalling G8F and then reinstalling G8F--not all of the content, just the base figure itself.  An uninstall/reinstall solved the problem for me.

    Thanks, I'll give that a shot in the morning.  I did shut down Studio a couple of times and reloading G8F each time but that didn't do it.

    Thanks; that seems to have worked. I used DIM to uninstall Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials and tha redownload and install. Now I have at least a reasonable amount of smart content for G8f.

    This morning I was planning to unistall G8F as suggested above but first I opened Studio to check on something and lo! the G8F smart content was back with the 'filter by context' box is checked.   I can't be sure it's ALL back though, but it's no long limted to like seven things.  So the good news is that it's not permanent, the bad news is it seems random.

    grinch2901:  This problem appears for no reason known to me, so it can go away for no known reason.  My uninstall/re-install solution is a bit like banging the side of an old CRT television to fix vertical and horizontal hold problems--It sometimes inexplicably works to fix a problem without a known cause.  (If you're not old enough to remember tube televisions, forgive my antiquity and quaint, esoteric reference.)

    it happen to me too, but luckily is because a product that I installed. it was "ball joint doll to genesis 8". so I uninstalled it and also reinstall michael and victoria 8 essential starter.
