yeah i saw it but i feel would be better have a clean topic about it since the old one and was before the oficial event.
The motherboard makers should make one PCI slot further from the rest so the others aren't blocked by huge video cards.
The can't change the dimensions of ATX motherboards or the spacing of slots on those boards. They can leave them off but people complain if they do. The second slot is generally a x1 so it doesn't matter that much iif it's covered up by the graphics card.
Periodically there's talk of a new motherboard standard but it doesn't go anywhere. ATX has been stable for 20+ years.
I was just thinking that too... the market will probably respond.
I was reading about the Gen 3 Big Navi31 and Gen 4 Big Navi41 going to the Ryzen Zen chiplet design and to compete nVidia will have a chiplet design I think they called 'Hopper' so you think these 30XX & Big Navis GPU this year are through the roof wait till those release! People are going to have the sort of cheap compute in their houses that will look like what used to be racks of hardware from just 5 years ago and a software stack that obliterates the software capabilities of 5 years ago. Amazing.
