Create still or video images for viewing in VR

Hi all! Being a virtual reality enthusiast, being the owner of a VR headset for PC, I would love to be able to develop renderings, single images and videos, adapted for viewing in VR. Currently, that you know, are there any methodologies to do this, maybe even some particular plug-ins for sale? On the spot I think it would take a double image for each frame in two slightly different cameras, only it would be interesting if there were some guide or some package that simplifies and speeds up the process, without going to trial.
