Seeking the Guy 4 (or his creator)

I could have sworn I had purchased The Guy 4 a long time ago (probably from RDNA, but I'm not sure).

QUESTIONS:

  1. Is it for sale anywhere?
  2. Who made it? Can that person still be contacted?
  3. Who sold it (RDNA, Content Paradise, etc.)?

    This is weird. I know I had "The Guy 4" for Michael 4, and I cannot find it in my content Library or my purchases.

    I dinstinctly rember that he came with a letterman's jacket and he was a kind of toony, fun looking figure.

    Questions: Was he sold through the Daz store? If so, what happened to him?

    The Guy 4 used to be sold at Daz at one point, though IIRC it was at PoserPros initially.

    It was a PA item by PDXJims. It disappeared with his shop, he's not been active in the Poser/Daz community for years.

    Guy 4 Michael 4 was retired shortly before Guy 7 came out. At a guess, those events are not unrelated; they might have had to buy out the product for the use of the name before retiring him.

    I'm guessing that if you got him with a letterman's jacket, you got whatever they might have had at PoserPros; I bought him here, before he was retired, and he was just morphs and textures for Michael 4, and apparently a fit for the M4 Bodysuit.

    Apparently "The Guy" is not as near a big a seller as a name as "The Girl" is judging by Toon Dwayne 8. Toon Dwayne 8 does give more flexibility though to masculinize in a toon way.

    Thanks for the tip. I'll reach out to PoserPros and see what they can tell me.

    I'm also going to dig through some old CD backups of my runtimes and see if I can find it.

    As mentioned in your previous thread about it:

    Creator was pdxjims. He's not been active in the Poser/Daz community for years.
    Guy 4 used to be sold at PoserPros, then Daz. AFAIK it's not available anywhere nowadays.

    LOL Artini, I bet MMitchell Houston is sticking pins into an efigy of you right now cheeky

    maybe just render a front and back in M4 briefs texture so he can at least have a dial fiddle reference enlightened

    Why is that? I think MMitchell Houston is rather a nice guy.

    I bought Guy 4 here at DAZ. He comes with something like 3 face/body versions. The default - Guy 4 01 -- looks like this rather than Artini's version.

    He was meant to work with the Girl 4 so his features have some similarities to hers.

    but mmalbert Guy 4 looks more likely I wish to have, than what I have purchased.

    Guy 4 requires the M4 Shapes (used to be called Morphs ++) The character uses some of those dials in addition to the Guy 4 morph injection.

    First, load up Michael 4 and select the Guy 4 and Morphs++ boxes on the Power Loader. Then navigate to wherever your Poser runtime is installed, go to Pose, and find the DAZ's Michael 4 folder. In the Morph Injection subfolder, click on the INJ The Guy (it might be named something else; I sometimes rename files but I don't think I did so with this one.) 

    Next, select Michael 4 and go to Parameters, Morphs | Shapes, and Guy 4. There are four bodies to choose from.

    Finally, select Michael 4's head, go to Parameters, Morphs | Shapes and chose which head shape you want -- and other options, if any -- and then you're good to go.

    Oh, and make sure the Legacy INJection Slots on the Power Loader is checked too. I missed that -- my computer got zapped by lightning back in earl July and even after having it repaired I'm still finding pre-zap stuff that needs adjusting or reinstalling. :)

    Perhaps you can re-shape him from G1 to M4 again?

    Looks similar enough for the OP to change & apply some morphs to Freak 4 to get Guy 4 using the above picture i n this thread as a guide.
