How easy to use dForce hair?

Several questions:

1) What is dForce?

2) Is it a plug-in that I have to buy & add to my DAZ Studio 12?

4) What is the advantage when used for short hair, instead of something like this? https://www.daz3d.com/devanar-hair ; That is my favorite hair.

Dforce is dynamics, it comes with DS 4.12, no need to buy any plugins..

Its pretty easy to use on short hair, most doesn't actually need it, it can be resource intensive and take a long to simulate really depends on your computer specks.
