Need a bit of Info on Moving Library and default locations to a New external drive using DIM

I would appreciate a bit of information:

I have a new 5GB external drive that I would like to  move all of my Daz products to, right now I have it on 3 different drives, including DS, DIM,and all associated content files.

Daz Studio is installed on E: ( external drive and will stay there)

DIM is installed on C: ( SSD drive where windows is installed) would like to reinstall to E: or G:( new drive)

All DS content Downloads is on F: ( external HD and will stay there)

All content is installed by DIM to E: ( external drive) and will  move to new  external disk G: ( by uninstalling and reinstalling through DIM) I have tried just copying the installed content to a new drive in the past and it didn't go well and I ended up deleting and reinstalling anyway.

My main question is regarding the following folder destinations in DIM:

Manifest Archive: is now in C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/ManifestFiles

Content Database Base is now in C;/Users/MyName/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/cms

Thumbnail Archive is now in C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Thumbnails

Do these folders have to be here or is it ok to change them to my new G: drive where all my installed products will also reside and if I change their location is there anythin else I need to change othere than the locations for my content in Studio Content Database Manager

That should work. Be sure to move the contents to the new location.

You are saying the paths for the files are OK to change and they will still work as required?

You can change manifest archive and thumbnail archive paths without impact (assuming you move the files in there to the new location). They're used only by DIM.

Content database can also be moved, but CMS database is also used by DS. So you'll need to alter DS preferences to tell it where the CMS database is now.

I moved my content files to a larger drive several months ago. The files in the ../InstallManager/ManifestFiles directory will have the original content install paths - <UserInstallPath VALUE=E:\ ..... If you move the content you will have to edit the files to reflect the new locations.  I have windows so I opened the directory on Visual Studio code (free) and did a global search and replace.  

In addition you have to edit the paths in the DAZ Studio Content tab.

Thanks for the input @Leana and @winmath  I am thinking that since I am uninstalling all my products and reinstalling on the new drive through DIM the info in the manifest and thumbnail archive folders would be gone as well or can just be deleted then I can change the path of them to my new drive before reinstalling and the CMS database the same thing but Iwill need to change the path in both DIM and DS?
