Parameter to remove distortion (refraction?) from a liquid shader?

Hi there,
I'm putting together a scene using SY Pods, Tanks and Human Containers (specifically the one bottom right on the main image) but regardless of what liquid shader I use, it heavily distorts the figure inside when the camera is outside the tank. What parameter(s) can I change to either reduce or eliminate this? I'm not an expert with Iray shaders and while I can guess that it's something to do with the refraction, I'd appreciate if someone could point out exactly what needs to be changed.
I attached a screenshot with the current setup of the liquid shader, which I think has all the relevant settings.
Thanks in advance for any and all help :)

Turn the Refraction Weight down.
1.55 is pretty high for a refraction index, water is around 1.33 and turning that to 1 will remove the refraction distortion.
turning the refraction weight down is likely to make the liquid more opaque depending on the shader.
also check the refraction values on the glass, I don't have the product so I can't check but I would assume the tanks themselves have refraction too
