object rotation speed - can you prevent the acceleration?

Hi all

I'm trying to animate a movement and I've found that Daz automatically introduces acceleration and decelaration on the rotation. Is there any way to prevent this so that the rotation is at the same speed from start to finish?

(i'm using version 4.10 on a mac)

You'll need to change the key interpolation. Go to the timeline, select your keys, right-click and go to Set Key Interpolation. Change that to linear.

  • Thanks Gordig. Now I feel like a noob, because I can only move to keys. I can't select one or right click on it in the timeline. There doesn't seem to be much I can do in the timeline. What am I missing?

What version of DS are you using? Keymate and Graphmate were integrated into DS in, I believe. 4.11. If you're using an earlier version and don't have Keymate, I'm not sure how to do what you're asking.

Updating is not a magic answer in this case. There are unresolved timeline bugs in the current DS 4.12 and the current 4.12 beta that have been driving people crazy. Do a little research in the forum and be sure to save a backup of your current version before overwriting it. I'd recommend leaving your 4.10 alone and installing the 4.12 beta. Then you can evaluate 4.12 without ruining your 4.10 installation.

  • Saving a pose/sahpe preset does seem to preserve the keyframes that the scene drops.
