anyone know if I can correct her 'pixelated' look?

I imported her anime head from another program (pic) but she looks too blocky and pixelated :( can this be fixed in Daz at all where her face is made to be more smoother looking? or not possible.

If it had been all quads SubD or a Smoothing Modifier might have worked, but since it seems to contain tris also it probably won't.
One posibility, you can go into the surfaces tab. If it's got the default surface shader, then towards the bottom there is a parameter called "smooth". and one below it called "angle."
Daz defaults to smooth: on and angle: 89.9. If angle is set to 0 or smooth is set to off, you'll get the sharp edges on the polygons like you see in your image.
