More info on my new computer

The computer should arrive around Sept 11. It's an HP Envy Desktop Te01-1177C. It has a 10thGen i7, 32GB RAM, nVidia GTX 1660 Super video card, 500GB SSD, and 1TB hard drive. I can't wait to find out if there is room for another hard drive. 3TB is more to my liking.
Here are the official specs:

Can you cancel?
Found an image of the specific box and it's pretty small. I wouldn't count on fitting anything extra in it. You might be able to just swap the 1Tb for a 3Tb. In theory, assuming HP hasn't done something really awful, they should be the same size.
External ones are cheap and easy way to increase storage space and with USB 3.2, they are fast enough.
nicst, why would I cancel?!
I've been using external hard drives for many years. I'll likely just continue using the hard drives I have. Easy enough.
Your computer doesn't look like it's a slimline, but it is short, heightwise. An oddly squat midtower, more or less.
Dimensions for your model are listed by HP as 15.54 x 30.4 x 33.74 cm (6 W x 12 H x 13 L in) -- my (much) older Envy desktop was three inches taller and a bit longer than that, although the width was the same. You may have space for one additional internal drive -- the specs don't list numbers of drive bays, I think. Given the height reduction, it's likely to be only one additional drive bay available, if that.

Because of it's specs, but actually more because it hasn't even arrived and you want to change it.
I'd hate for you to be unhappy with it.
Um, it's a gift.
Haha, that's ok then.
I'm actually happy about the specs... If I ignore the small sized internal hard drive. This computer will be light years ahead of my iMac, and my HP Notebook. I've spent the past couple months making the change from an external Mac-formatted drive to a Windows-formatted drive. I've played around with the HP notebook, and got better results than expected. Of course I never tried anything very difficult, and never tried iRay.
I must admit external hard drives make changing computers very easy!
I think you're going to be very happy with that computer. I have a generally good time rendering with my laptop and you will have 2 gigs more video ram than me. And that solid state drive is going to make your boot and reboot times very pleasing. IRAY is going to make your shadows great, and maybe you will soon discover the joy that is HDRI Haven.
Just download everything on HDRI Haven. It will save you the trouble of going there, finding the one you need and dLing it when you need it. I just wish the site had push notifications when he uploaded a new one.
I didn't know it was possible to do a bulk download. But I don't have much trouble finding what I want there. Their metadata is actually okay.
I didn't do a bulk download. I just did it by hand.
