Quick question, viewing shadows cast by HDRI?

Hi. Can someone tell me if there's a way to display the shadows cast by an HDRI in Material Preview mode? I couldn't find an answer to this elsewhere, but it appears as if they're only visible in the rendered preview mode. Thanks for any information.

create a shadow catcher.
Add a plane, scale it (edit mode probably better) to a few square metres - or larger if needed.
In the object properties panel, find Visibility and check Shadow Catcher; that will allow you to catch ground shadows. If you want shadows elsewhere, then you can arrange it so it also gives the illusion of catching on the side of a building too.
Oh, sorry, material preview; I don't believe so. Presumably becuase shadows aren't part of a material.
Well eevee can't compute HDRI shadows, you need to bake them to probes. Then I don't know if the GI plugin can affect the viewport too.

No problem nicstt, yeah I was just talking about being able to see the shadows while working in order to adjust the light direction.
Padone, I was using Cycles, but I doubt it mattered since I was still in material preview mode. Thanks guys, guess they don't show until render.
