HDR preview

I'm lost with this :

1) where are supposed to be the HDR files in the smart content tab ?

2) is there a simple way to have a HDR preview within windows 10 ?

The way I'm changing HDR in DazStudio is via render editor/ Environment/ Environment map and a lot of trial and errors since I use windows search to find *.hdr files.

There must be a simpler and faster way !

Thanks

If you bought the HDRI product(s) in the store here, they generally show up in Smart Content under "Render Settings"-"Iray" or occasionally under "Lights"-"Iray". These are presets that load the HDRI and (often) set other parameters in the Render options to match.

If you look at the ReadMe for the product, it will say (in the "Product Notes" section) which categories to look in - the ReadMe can be found from the "i" button in DIM, or by finding the product (by it's SKU number shown on the store page) in the Documentation section here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/start

ETA: I think you can also get to the ReadMe from within Daz Studio if you are signed-on to Daz3D, but I'm not sure where of how as my Daz Studio PC is kept offline.

Here's an example ReadMe for one HDRI product in the store: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/57041/start

ETA: If you want to see a preview of the HDRI through your camera in the viewport,  you can change the view mode to "Iray" using the drop-down list from the button beside the camera selection box - note that it can take some time to build unless you have a good Iray-compatible graphics card. Hiding some of all of the objects in the scene may speed it up considerably.
