Crooked teeth due to mouth morphs

Hi, it's me again. Wanna know if anyone knows how to restore teeth (G8 & G3) to their original shape after being deformed by mouth morphs? Many thanks!

Hi Richard, used a certain resource kit (which unfortunately also caused distortion of the cornea and iris I mentioned in another thread which you also replied) I don't think that my morphs combination was that extreme / stylized

You can zero the mouth and teeth, but you may find they are wrongly positioned (too high, protruding out) for the morphs, which would require further morph adjustments.
To zero the mouth and teeth, favourite the offending morphs in the parameters tab (click the heart symbol in the top right of each morph.)

Go to the geometry editor and select Vertex mode.
Select G8F in the scene tab.

Right click in the viewport and choose select geometry by surfaces. Select the mouth and then again select the teeth surfaces.
Right click again in the scene tab and choose morph editing - clear selected deltas from favourites.

Hi Redz, thanks for your tips! Can the eyeballs also be zeroed this way to fix eyeball poke through and cornea/iris distortion ? Thanks a lot !
  • OK, one option is to make the problem morpsh favourites by clicking the heart icon on the slider (work on the dev build for Genesis 8, to be sure everything is clear to start with), then activate the Geometry Editor tool and in tool Settings click the + to select the teeth in the Surfaces list. Once you have that, right-click in the Viewport>Geometry Selection>Convert Selection>Convert to Vertex Selection, and finally right-click in Viewport>Morph Editing>Clear Selected deltas from Favourites.

Yes you can zero the eye surfaces this way too, but as with the teeth you may find you will have to reposition and/or scale the eyes to fit the morphed eye sockets.

    hi CHWT ;)

there are many ways to do it with shape splitter but in my case,
    first follow the tip above
    secondly open shape splitter
in the first tab "divide" in step 1 under "easy" choose "head"
in step 2 choose the morph concerning
in step 4 launch the "preview"
in step 5 save the morph

then once done in the third tab "save asset(s)" click at the bottom on "save morph asset"

    voila ;)
