Small Image Quality, Rendering Settings

I need to render some small images in Iray.
These render pretty quickly, which means I can raise the quality settings without it taking crazy long.
What is the best way of doing this? Raising render quality or the convergence ratio? I can increase max iterations to compensate.
Maybe there won't be a huge improvement, but every little helps!

Raising render Quality makes Iray fussier about what it calls fully converged, so if you have an overall grain you want to lose that may be ebst. Raising Convergence Ratios increses the proportion of pixels that have to be fully converged, so that should be more useful if most of the image is good but there are pockets of noticeable noise.
Thank you. I will try that.
Read somewhere here that making a larger image and scaling it down can be useful too.
I think I will spend a few days trying a lot of different things with the same scene and seeing what comes out best.
Yes, rendering large and downsampling averages out the colours and so will remove a lot of noise
Thank you
